20/2/12
Chas & Dave are playing at this years Bestival festival on the Isle Of Wight on September 9th. A Christmas date at the indogo2 has also been added for December the 8th.
5/1/12
Chas will be doing some double-header gigs with Lonnie Donegan Jnr in the Spring and Summer. These will be a great mix of Rockney and Skiffle so don’t miss ‘em – see tour dates page for full dates.
Happy new year, and a big thank you all who came out to the xmas Jamboree Bag gigs. We’ll have to do that again sometime!
13/11/11
We’ve kept it under wraps but Chas & Dave have been in the studio with Karl Pilkington recording a special version of Aint No Pleasing You for the final ever episode of An Idiot Abroad. This was a bit of a ‘Jim’ll Fix It’ moment for Karl and, being big fans of the show themselves, the boys were more than happy to grant him his wish. Catch the episode on Sky One, Monday November 14th at 10pm.
A second Christmas Jamboree Bag date has been added at the indig02 for December 22nd. Check live dates page for ticket links.
15/6/11
We’re delighted to announce that due to public demand, the boys will be playing a special Christmas Jamboree show at the Indigo2 on December 23rd. In the first half of a two part set, They’ll be playing the full medley from the first Christmas Jamboree Bag album live for the first time ever to mark the 30th anniversary of its release. This medley was one of the most requested when we ran the setlist vote prior to the final tour but unfortunately wasn’t practical for the tour. Not to be missed!! Tickets available here
16/5/11
Well, that’s the tour done with…and the boys can’t thank all the fans enough for making it such a fantastic experience for all. That’s not the end of things though..there’re gonna be lots of C&D developments and news to keep up with so keep it here for all your info. In the meantime Chas is straight back out on the road with his band and you catch his live dates on the tour dates page.
23/4/11
Due to massive demand they’ll be a special – strictly limited – show at London’s legendary 100 Club on May 15th to mark the end of the tour. The show will also be recorded to tie in with a planned live album release of the tour by EMI. Tickets available here
11/3/11
As mentioned below, last night’s storming set at the Indigo2 was recorded by Abbey Road and, in our humble opinion, gives the original live from Abbey Road live album a run for its money! It’s now available to buy as CD or download here
Chas & Dave farewell tour live CDs..We’re very excited that Abbey Road will be recording the shows at the Indigo o2 (March 10th), The Cavern, and Burgess Hill and selling the CDs immediately after each show. So you’ll be able to purchase the live CD of the show you’ve just seen (nope, we don’t know how they do it either!). In addition, a brand new exclusive – and rather good – range of tour T-shirts will be available at the shows.
The Chas & Dave Final Tour Set list Vote is now closed. Many thanks for all your votes. We’ll now be counting them up and adding the various faves to the set throughout the tour.
13/2/11
We’re delighted to announce that Kate Garner – Chas’ daughter & Dave’s goddaughter – will be supporting the boys on selected dates of the forthcoming tour. Kate has been playing the piano and writing songs since she was four years old and has received rave reviews for her unique songwriting and quintessentially English lyrics. To find out more and to see which dates Kate will be appearing at click here
The Chas & Dave Final Tour Set list Vote!
Thanks for all your votes so far and keep ‘em coming. We have a provisional shut-off date for the vote of the 25th of February but we’re flexible as the tour set is likely to evolve as the tour progresses.
For the final tour we’ll be asking you the fans what songs you’d like to hear.
You can choose a list of three songs and email them to us here. Shortly before the tour starts we’ll count up the votes and the most popular songs will go into the set.
Bear in mind that the boys have quite a few songs in the back catalogue so we’re looking for requests of songs that haven’t been played for some time or maybe never played live before ( it’s highly likely they’ll be playing all the hits on this tour so be creative and avoid voting for the ‘obvious’ ones!)
So start by refreshing your memory with the discography page here, browse through some albums, and get voting!
(sorry, as it’s a family show, no votes for the ‘B***ocks Song’ please! – no football songs either!)
Hastings gig venue change
Due to venue problems, the promoter of Chas & Dave’s gig at the Phoenix Arts Centre, Hastings has had to move the show to the Brighton Komedia (same date April 22nd). This is obviously beyond our control but apologies to any ticket holders for Hastings, and these will be either refunded or valid for the new replacement venue. We’ll give more details on here as soon as we have them.
Chas & Dave would like to wish all their fans a very happy Christmas and new year, and look forward to seeing you on tour in 2011.
A third Indigo o2 date has been added to the tour on April 18th. Check out the full tour dates page for ticket details.
Chas will be playing at the 100 Club on Thursday November 25th in aid of the Save The 100 Club campaign. Clem Cattini and Roddy Radiation (The Specials) and his Skabilly Rebels will also be on the bill. We urge all lovers of music to back this campaign as a true example of London’s entertainment heritage is under threat. You can get tickets here and you can join the fight here
Full tour dates of Chas & Dave’s 2011 are now on the tour dates page. Full ticket links added soon.
Due to public demand, an extra date has been added at the o2 Indigo on March 10th 2011. Order tickets here
We’re delighted to announce that Chas & Dave will be back in 2011.
