Chas recently underwent hospital tests which revealed cancer of the oesophagus. Luckily this has been spotted at an early stage and he’ll be undergoing treatment immediately.
Chas expects to be back out on the road with Dave again soon, but in the meantime, the Potters Bar, Norwich, and Milton Keynes dates on the 17th, 18th, and 19th of February will need to be rescheduled. Apologies to ticket-holders for the inconvenience. The venues themselves will advise regarding re-scheduling/refunds etc.
Update 16/2/17; Chas has now begun his cancer treatment and has been advised to take a long rest period between treatment sessions. Unfortunately as a result of this we will also have to re-schedule all March dates apart from Blackheath on the 31st – which he should be ok for. As with the February shows the venues will advise on ticketing and refund options. We thank you for your understanding.
Chas’ treatment is going well and he’s in high spirits. He’d like to take this opportunity to once again thank you all for your incredible support and good-will and he’s looking forward to getting back on the road soon once his cancer has “slung its hook”(!)
Update 8/3/17; Chas’s treatment is progressing and he’s responding well. In order for him to be properly ‘gig-fit’ & in top form on his return Chas’s doctors have advised a longer recovery period which will put him out of action until June. Unfortunately this will mean re-scheduling all April and May dates of the current tour. As with previous postponements the venues will advise all ticket-holders on refunds or re-scheduled dates. And again, we thank you for your understanding and messages of support.
Chas says; “I’m really missing the gigs but the light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter all the time & it will soon be shining its beam down on me & Dave on stage come summer”.
